Amazon Promotional Coupons

Regulars to this blog and Pcorn Queen Investigates will know I’m a big fan of shopping on line.  You haven’t got all that hassle of getting down to the store, fighting your way amongst the crowd, being faced with a rude shop assistant, only to find out that the item that you want is out of stock and the puppy has destroyed all the cushions on your sofa by the time you finally get you tired ass back home. Retail therapy is supposed to be one of the perks of life and there is a better way:  SHOP ON LINE!  (PJs are allowed, it’s warm, the coffee tastes good and you can play with the puppy at the same time.)

True, I like boutiques.  I think we should all support the little guys but for much of the time I want the best price for a standard item or I just haven’t got the time to trail round the net in my PJ’s searching out for a particular item.  So it’s off to one of the big on line retailers… Usually Amazon.  From gifts to gadgets; Login, place your order and the job’s good (before your coffee has even time to cool.) But whoaa … slow down!  Somebody told me a secret and…

Psssst… I’m going to past it on to you.

Check out if there is an Amazon promotional code first!   Generally Amazon’s prices are pretty cool but there are possible big savings that you can make if you can find a discount coupon for the item you want.  Additional discounts can range anywhere from 10% to 90% off or zero shipping can apply.  Certainly worth the coffee cooling down a bit… eh?  Check out the links and see how easy they are to find at www.promotional-code-spot.net

I’ll have to go… the puppy is attacking my best sofa cushions…

:D

Whispers From The Past…..

I was about to shut down my Computer for the Night, feeling very Bored with Social Sites that Use to give me So Much Pleasure. I remember what a Buzz I got just being a Part of Social Media and it really makes me Sad to think that it holds no real Interest for me anyone.

Then I got a Notification from my Very First blog sites about my Birthday coming up, so for shit’s and giggles I clicked through to Reminisce and have a few Laughs over my First Attempt’s of Writing. I’m actually so happy I did because I stumbled upon something I wrote on August 19th, 2008. When I wrote on this Blog I never shared with the public, because I was so insecure about writing for the first time.

Now I’m here 4 years later and when I read this it actually helps me to remember why I stick with Social or New Media and I can see a little bit of what I’ve forgotten makes it so Amazingly Awesome! After rereading this Post I decided I wanted to Share it with the Public for the first time. Maybe it will help Jump Start your Love for being Social and help You remember when and why You got Involved Social Media, I do hope you Enjoy the Innocence of a Freshly Born Social Mediate hahaha…….

Learning Social Media

  • Aug. 19th, 2008 at 12:51 AM
I consider myself a social media virgin, although I’m learning that  I’ve been part of this circle for some time now.  I had no idea that every time I met someone and was chatting or signed up for a site like Myspace I was involving myself in this big thing. Bigger than I even knew and I am loving it every day.
I am especially  grateful to a couple of friends right now, one for asking me to join Twitter and the other for taking me under his wing and kinda helping me threw this whole learning process.
The twitter factor ……..I absolutely love this site, even with all it’s flaws. I have met so many amazing, interesting and intelligent people on there. From business folk to knitters and from marketers to musicians. Mom’s giving each other advice, blogger’s wanting their opinions heard along with politic activist wanting their voice heard as well.  I learn so much from everyone I meet on this site, so I want to thank my pal Scott for the invite!
Now my other friend has been on twitter forever and a day, I knew about the site threw him but never tried it because I thought it was for a certain circle of people, just didn’t know I was part of that circle. He’s really shown me a lot  threw chat and his blogs. It’s crazy how social media is so much a part of everything in our lives. With his help I am learning about creating a personal brand, a good relationship with who I am meeting at these social media sites and getting known.
I do have some issues with expressing myself when it comes to certain conversations, that sort of worries me, because to be a big part of this scene you really need to be part of the discussion. I’m sure that will get better the less intimated I get while involed in certain chats and what not.  But anyway, a shout to Matt for helping me with all of this!
I’m gonna end here, I think I’ve covered what I wanted to say…….hope I don’t sound too much like a lady who has no clue what shes talking about .

The Best of Fiverr

Best of Fiverrwww.bestoffiver.com

Today Pcorn Queen Investigates gets into Fiverr Gigs; The What, How and Why?

The What:   For those who don’t know a Gig is a service that you are prepared to offer for $5. You post your Gig and wait notification from the site that you have a client.  It can be anything from the downright boring to the crazy (in fact if you are in need of  a giggle to lighten the day just go and read some of the madness that some people dream up!)  Yup… this here post is a Gig for which your roving Investigator/Social Butterfly The Pcorn Queen will gain some small pecuniary advantage.  Anybody posting the correct link to the client in question will have the rest of today off and can go out to play.  The rest of you can stop behind and get on with your work! :D

The How:   First you gotta be a member.  Drrrrrrrrrrrrr… Well yes, it’s not rocket science but Good News… no membership fee  (they take a commission for handling your gig.) Then just post your gig and wait.  Sounds easy?  Well you do have to do a little more work.  Due to the popularity, there’s a lot of gigs out there and (as with anything webby) you have to get yourself noticed among the crowd.  Say you’ve decided you’ll produce a banner ad as your gig,  then promote yourself every which way you can… $5 banner ad resource.  A little effort will reap reward and here’s some very handy tips for making money on Fiverr.

The Why:  For me… honestly?  Well a friend talked me into it with the reasoning that “Well you do it anyway, so why not get paid?”  I have shared many a cup of coffee with Gig clients since then and in truth it has brought fresh content to my blog.   I say what I think and will only promote something if I am happy to do so.

Do I promote my gigs?  No… I guess I’d better start otherwise nobody will find me…

Does anybody know where I can get advice on how to get noticed on Fivver?

Yippeee!   I can go out to play now :D

Yellow Cat are Cool Cats

Yellow Cat Recruitmentwww.yellowcatrecruitment.co.uk

Today’s PcQi starts with a conclusion;  London remains a place where you’ll find some really cool cats.   Here’s a site that has got not just style but also personality.  Not only do we know who they are but they “care” and have energy for what they do!  As an American britophile I was instantly reminded of the ever popular “Friends” series on “meeting” these guys, I’ve said it before;
“When the British do something, they do it well!”…
…(sorry I got side-tracked reading about A day in the Life of a Press Officer, I make another coffee and tell you what they do!)

OK… :D

Yellow Cat Recruitment was founded in 2006 and work with some of the biggest names in the Media and Entertainment world across London.   An easy claim to make you may think but just check out their client list… WOW… impressed huh?  Anybody wanting to land themselves one of these tv production jobs needs to hit the keyboard fast and get in touch with them.  These guys don’t just “point you at” the job, they also help and advise;  giving you the best chance of getting a result.

As some of you will know,  I’m UK bound myself soon.  I wonder if they could help a PcQ-social butterfly/internet radio broadcaster?  London is like the next town on from Leeds… Yes?  I could go to work on my bike… YAY!

P.S  Can anybody tell me why my Yorkshire Cowboy is muttering “Bloomin’ Americans ‘n’ Bloomin’  Southerners” please? :D

Premiumsnapbackhats

Tuesday, December 13th, 2011

PCorn Queen Investigates:  Today’s high street is dominated by the major retailers.  The boutiques and specialist shops have just about gone.  We all know why;  it’s all about costs.   Sad really but this is reality… the little people are disappearing…
Not quite, they are moving to a new location and setting up their businesses on the internet super-highway.  They are faceless businesses, which is sad, but many are dedicated to giving good quality, excellent service and (above all) consumer choice.   True, on the down side, it’s not the same as traditional retail therapy (and I encourage all online merchants to try and bring a personal touch to their stores – at least make sure your shopper can easily find a business name and address) but the upside is… YAY!… I can browse in my PJ’s, without getting cold or wet and my coffee can come along too!

www.premiumsnapbackhats.comwww.premiumsnapbackhats.com

Here’s a nice little online store that’s opening.  Premiumsnapbackhats.com, a one-stop shop providing premium, authentic sport snapback hats.  Based in  Vancouver, B.C they offer fast shipping across all of North America, with an expanding selection of over 120 sports vintage hats.   Theres’s a snapback hat that will appeal to just about anybody; from kids to pensioners.  Check them out!  (They also delivery wholesale for anybody that’s interested.)

Blackhawks Snapback HatWhoop!  My selection from the snapback hats!
I want!
(PCorn Queen has an attack of the vapours…)
Too Cool…………………
Fab…………………
Innit bro……
Buzzing!

This would go just so right with my pink floral PJ’s and big fluffy Wabbit slippers!  :D
