I am sorry about your brother. Your candid and transparent post here is social media at its finest. My best friend Gabe died in a house fire, drunkeness was probably involved. I like how your bro had all those health problems, yet was Mr. Personality.

My heart goes out to you, Chris. This loss must have been incredibly devastating to you and your family. But at least you hold these memories of him in your heart, and he will live on through your memories and your love for him. It is very difficult to lose someone we love so much. When someone we care about passes, it seems like they take a part of them with us with them. But at the same time they leave that part of themselves that was embedded in us. That is what we have to hold on to, to cherish it. It sounds like you are doing just that and it is a wonderful thing. Even though I never met Patrick, I would like to also wish him a Happy Birthday as well.
